ANOTHER WEB RELATED BIRTHDAY 03.05.08

After the Web’s 15th birthday on the 30th April, it’s yet another web-based birthday today with the 30th anniversary of the first spam email.

According to BBC News, the first email marketing message was sent on this day in 1978 on behalf of now defunct computer manufacturer, DEC, and was received to much criticism.

All I wish is that someone foresaw the nuisance it could potentially become and begun working that day on something that could successfully combat the ever increasing deluge of it!

I just hope that’s not gonna take the next 30 years to sort...

...I live in hope..!
